Ernst & Young LLP Names Tom Fiepke Office Managing Partner in Des Moines
Des Moines, 23 July 2009 – Ernst & Young LLP announced today that Tom Fiepke has been appointed Managing Partner of the firm’s Des Moines office. Fiepke, who has more than 20 years of experience with Ernst & Young, succeeds Dave Christens who is transferring to Chicago to take on a leadership role in the Midwest region.

Fiepke (45) has extensive experience in serving the insurance and financial services industries. He has provided accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory services to a wide variety of clients including high-growth, emerging businesses and Fortune 500 corporations. He also brings a global perspective to his work having lived overseas supporting Ernst & Young’s insurance quality and risk management programs throughout Central and Eastern Europe. For the past five years, Fiepke was based in Minneapolis, MN, serving many of the market’s key insurance and financial services companies. He transferred to Des Moines in September 2008.
A Certified Public Accountant in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Connecticut and Kentucky, Fiepke is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his master’s in Finance from Texas Christian University and bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Texas Pan American.
